Arsenal should not be looking at Domagoj Vida on deadline day, there are better defenders available.
With PSG set to finalise the signing of Jerome Boateng, the French club appear to be overloaded in central defence, and with the Gunners lacking quality in that area of the pitch, the club should move for one of PSG’s existing defenders.
Thiago Silva is also almost certain to start so that raises question marks over the futures of both Presnel Kimpembe and Marquinhos, two of the best young central defenders in Europe.
The Gunners have been linked to the likes of Domagoj Vida, but if they are signing another central defender, they should be of a higher quality and Kimpembe or Marquinhos would significantly improve the clubs defence.
Considering their options, PSG would surely be open to selling one of the two defenders, so Arsenal should attempt to test the waters on deadline day.
Should Arsenal not sign a central defender, their defensive options will be limited following the loan of Calum Chambers to Fulham
