JUVENTUS coach Max Allegri is in advanced discussions with Arsenal about replacing Arsene Wenger this summer.

Arsene Wenger’s two decade reign at The Emirates Stadium looks set to end when his contract runs out at the end of the season.

He is yet to be offered an extension amid suggestions that he will stand aside and Allegri’s representatives have been locked in talks with Arsenal hierarchy.

The Sunday Express understand that those discussions are at an advanced stage but no agreement has yet been reached.

Juventus are on course for a hat trick of Serie A titles under Allegri who has until March to inform the Italian giants about his plans for next season.

Allegri began to look at his options after having a huge bust up with some of Juve’s biggest stars after they crashed out of the Italian Super Cup.

He is used to working within a budget and would relish going head to head with Chelsea boss Antonio Conte who he replaced in Turin.

The Gunners do have other options with RB Leipzig boss Ralph Hasenhuttl someone else that they have spoken to about potentially replacing Wenger.

But it is looking increasingly that Allegri is the first choice to take over from Wenger who hasn’t won a Premier League title since 2004.
