According to reports, Arsenal is leading the race to sign Napoli and Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Report states the Argentine striker has a £78.62m release clause in his contract and his representative has revealed that the player could change club this summer should his release clause be triggered by any club.
According to bookmarkers, Arsenal is the leading contender for the striker’s signature.
Leading Bookmarker Betway has placed the gunners at 7/2 to sign the striker according to the Daily Express. Arsenal lead top European clubs like PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City who are at 9/2, 5/1 and 10/1 respectively to sign the striker.
The Napoli striker is coming from the back of a sensational season where he scored 36 goals in 35 games for Napoli and 4 goals for Argentina National team in the just concluded Copa America in America.
Arsenal fans will be hoping the Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger would trigger Higuain’s release clause; but if the London club could negotiate a more reasonable fee to sign the striker, Higuain will definitely be an improved Giroud next season.
