It appears the Arsenal players’ injury issues keep rehashing itself, with midfielder Aaron Ramsey becoming the latest player to join the Gunners’ injury army.
The Wales international cupped what seems to be a hamstring injury during Arsenal’s 4-3 opening Premier League defeat to Liverpool and, this news will come as a devastating one for manager Arsene Wenger who is already under pressure.
Ramsey is now set to be out for one month, as Wenger continues to be short of options in defence and midfield. Regular centre-back pairings Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny are still out of action and this made Wenger field the inexperienced duo of Rob Holding and Calum Chambers in central defence.
Also, news have filtered in that attacker Alex Iwobi suffered a thigh injury in the game against the Reds too. Hence, the player is also ruled out of his country, Nigeria’s next AFCON qualifier against Tanzania.
Arsenal are expected to start Spanish midfielder Santi Cazorla in the game against The Foxes, while striker Olivier Giroud may also lead the for the Gunners – with Alexis Sanchez making returning to his right wing position.
Mesut Ozil is reportedly not ready for action, but Wenger could rush the playmaker to feature against Claudio Ranieri’s side.
