Arsenal Tables £25m Bid For 6ft 2 Tall CB, Perfect Koscielny Partner

Judging by reports in the media, Arsenal are likely to sign a centre back this summer and rightly so. We could certainly do with a centre back to partner Koscielny in the heart of our defense. According to reports, Premier League club Arsenal has seen their £25million bid for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani turned down by the club.

It is believed that Serie A club Napoli is also interested in the defender, who is not a regular starter at the Serie A champions Juventus.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Serie A champions are likely unwilling to let go of Rugani this summer, with Arsenal failing in their attempt to lure the defender to the Emirate stadium.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to bolster his backline, after some poor outing from ageing Germany international defender Per Mertesacker last season, while French international defender Laurent Koscielny will miss the beginning of the next season after making it to the final of Euro 2016 with his nation France.

The talented 21-year-old defender is a top prospect and has been heavily linked with a move to England in the past.

The youngster was involved in17 Serie A games last season but has since struggled to displace Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini from the first team.

The Serie A champions have told Rugani that if he remains in Turin next season, he will receive more first-team opportunities.
