Nabil Fekir’s agent has refused to rule out the midfielder leaving Lyon, amid reports of Arsenal’s interest.
Last week, the Daily Mail claimed Arsenal have made signing Fekir a priority target when the summer transfer window opens and that Wenger is now understood to be preparing a £45m for the winger as he aims to continue his recent habit of spending big.
And Fekir’s agent Jean Pierre Bernes has given credence to that report by refusing to play down the links when questioned about the possibility of a move to Arsenal.
Bernes stated that his client could seek a move in the summer, handing Arsenal a huge boost in the process.
Will Fekir still be at OL next season? It’s too early to talk about it,” he told Telefoot, as quoted by the Daily Star.
“We have time, that’s the straight line. There are important goals and he is already in a big club.
“After considering my relationship with [OL president] Jean-Michel Aulas, we will make the best decision.”
Wenger is reportedly desperate to lessen the gap between Arsenal and league leaders Manchester City and knows the only way that would be possible is to sign quality players.
Aside from Fekir, the manager is also interested in signing a defender and Kalidou Koulibaly is on the club’s radar.
