With Mathiue Debuchy looking like he has played his last game for Arsenal and Jenkinson going to Sunderland on loan, Arsenal certainly needs to sign another right bacj. Unfortunately we have once again suffered a major blow this summer in their signing of Djibril Sidibe from French Ligue 1 side Lille as he has reportedly signed a five-year deal with French Ligue 1 giant Monaco.
According to British tabloid Metro, Sidibe signed a five-year contract with AS Monaco despite late bid from North London giant Arsenal.
It saddens the heart of Arsenal fans each time the club lose it’s target to another club. Questions need to be asked and answered as to how the Gunners do business in the transfer market and end up losing the target to another club.
Report also had it that he has already signed for the Gunners as Guglielmo Cannavale of Sky Sports claimed that “a deal is close to being completed with Arsenal”.
His impressive performance for his Ligue 1 club Lille last season, lead to Arsene Wenger reportedly trying to lure him to the Emirates Stadium.
The 23-year-old would have strengthened the current Arsenal squad especially the full-back position if Wenger had acted fast enough and signed him.
