Jon Toral won a treble of awards last season while on loan with Birmingham City after an impressive and inspiring loan spell. Awards won by Toral includes; Birmingham player of the year, Supporters player of the year and Goal of the season. Toral made a total of 38 appearances for Birmingham and scored 8 goals.
Toral who is expected to be a long-term replacement of Ozil comfortably plays in the number 10 role and can play down the flanks would be concerned he is yet to be given the benefit of doubt like Bellerin and Fabregas who also joined Arsenal from Barcelona’s academy of tax frauds.
Toral is set to carry a pretty huge weight of offensive load on his back this season having relatively solid seasons in the Championship and with Granada adding an offensive manager while losing several key offensive pieces.
As Toral is set for another loan spell with Spanish side Granada, Wenger believes the promising youngster hasn’t developed enough to handle the physicality of the English Premier League. Wenger wants to Toral to get more first team starts to help prepare him for life in the Premier league.
