Having been linked with a lot of top strikers so far this summer, the London club has only been able to tie up a deal for Japanese youngster Takuma Asano from the J-League. Fans will be hoping Arsene Wenger will put a smile on their faces very soon by signing a top striker, as Asano is regarded by Wenger as one for the future.
Latest player to be linked to the club is Germany international Julian Draxler. Draxler may not be a conventional striker like the likes of Aubameyang, Higuain, Lukaku and Morata who have all been linked to the club. He has played on the wings in most time at Schalke. But since his move to German club Wolfsburg last summer, the attacker has often played as a striker. The attacker has shown promising signs and quality when striking and looks to be the perfect fit for Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, to turn into a top quality number 9, if he cannot find an already established and experienced world class striker.
The player, who is not expected to come cheap is one of the most priced assets at Wolfsburg and the German club will not be willing to part ways with the player they signed just last summer on a five year contract. Report says he will be available at around €50 million, a price that Wenger is reportedly willing to match.
To answer the puzzle, it must be made clear that the attacker has all the attributes of a good striker with pace, strength as well as a strong ariel ability and he is still young and can be developed into the Arsenal style of play. So I strongly think Wenger should spend that much on this promising striker. I think he would certainly be worth it
