Report says the Gunners are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos this summer transfer window.
According to the player’s brother, Arsenal is among the suitors in a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain centre-half Marquinhos this summer.
Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have all made enquiries about signing the defender, according to French publication L’Equipe, as reported by the Daily Express.
Arsenal is thought to be searching for defensive reinforcements as the Arsenal boss bids to revamp his squad ahead of next season.
Arsenal have been linked with lot of players in the summer but have thus far only signed midfielder Switzerland international midfielder Granit Xhaka and attacker Takuma Asano.
The player’s brother has given green light to a number of clubs on the availability of Marquinhos’s this summer by admitting that the experienced defender could leave PSG this summer.
Marquinhos’ brother Luan while Speaking in an interview with L’Equipe, as reported by the Daily Express: “Marquinhos has always been exemplary with the club – he’s never complained.
“He has, however, often been a spectator during big matches… we were clear Marquinhos is going to play at the Olympics.
“They have to show us a minimum of respect or else he’s going to have to leave PSG.
“Until now, we’ve been cooperative. But it can no longer continue like that otherwise we’re going to enter into a conflict. Our patience has limits.
“We like the club, the supporters, but they also have to show us a minimum of respect or else he’s going to have to leave PSG.”
The Gunners finished second in the English Premier League table last season, 10 points behind eventual champions Leicester, and were heavily criticized for not mounting a stronger challenge for the title.
