Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere has reportedly asked the North London club for a loan move after becoming his club’s sixth-choice midfielder.
Injuries subjected Wilshere to only three Premier League appearances last season and although Roy Hodgson selected the 24-year old in his England squad for June’s European Championships, Wilshere was unable to get a full game under his belt.
Arsenal signed Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer, meaning Wilshere has fallen down further the pecking order and it appears he will play lesser under Arséne Wenger again this term. As per reports, Wilshere has picked up this and asked for a loan move in order to gain regular playing time.
While a loan move for Wilshere could truly be on the cards, it is unlikely that the England midfielder demanded for one. The 24-year old could be a tad aggressive at times, but he clearly respects Wenger and the club. Wilshere isn’t seen as someone who could barge into the manager’s office demanding reasons as to why he has not featured regularly despite his injury issues. But then, footballers are really unpredictable.
Reports claim Wilshere is attracting interests from Juventus [per Sky Sports], with fans of both Arsenal and the Bianconeris unhappy about the rumour. However, there will be more on that as the transfer deadline draws nearer.
