Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has told Arsene Wenger ‘face to face’ that he will not sign a new contract at Arsenal, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Gunners utility man has apparently told his manager that it is not a matter of money after he turned down wages of over £125,000 a week.
Oxlade-Chamberlain only started 16 Premier League games last season and is seeking more regular first-team football, preferably in central midfield; he has started both Arsenal’s Premier League games this season at wing-back.

Chelsea are said to be ready to test Arsenal’s resolve with a £35m bid but Wenger is adamant that he will keep Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil despite their expiring contracts.
The Mirror do suggest that the Gunners could be tempted with £70m for Sanchez from Manchester City, but it’s difficult to see them budging even for that amount, assuming that Sanchez remains motivated to play for Arsenal.
“I want him to stay here for a long time,” Wenger said last week.
“I’m convinced that he will be in the next two or three years the English player everyone looks at.”
