Juventus CEO Beppe Marotta has dropped a surprise hint that his club could be ready to sell Arsenal transfer target Juan Cuadrado this summer.
The former Chelsea winger only just sealed a permanent transfer to Juve last month after spending two seasons on loan in Turin, having failed to make the grade in the Premier League.
Still, Arsenal remain admirers of the 29-year-old and reportedly failed with a £17.6million bid for him earlier this week as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his attack.
A pacey and direct wide-man also capable of playing wing-back, Cuadrado looks ideal for Arsenal’s needs at present, and Marotta has seemingly not ruled out the possibility of him making a speedy exit from Juventus.
The Italian admitted that sales may be necessary this summer, and listed players who could go depending on their situations and presumably the nature of the offers made for them.
‘Some (players) can go,’ he admitted.
‘You have to see the situations of (Mario) Lemina, (Stefano) Sturaro, Cuadrado …’ before adding ‘I (am naming) names at random.’
