News have filtered in that Real Madrid have told Arsenal to pay a discounted fee of £65m for attacker James Rodriguez, but Los Blancos’ manager Zinedine Zidane seems not to have a clue yet.
Weeks ago, there were claims Arsenal made a stunning £71m offer for Rodriguez and now, Real are showing generosity to the Gunners by telling them to pay only £65m for the Colombian wizard.
This is because Zinedine Zidane wants to get rid of Rodriguez and Real have now told his agent to send words to wealthy Premier League sides his client is going to leave the Santiago Bernabeu for just £65m. Rodriguez has been on the peripheral at Real since Zidane become boss and the former Monaco star has not impressed the French boss enough that he is worthy of a future in the team.
However, Arsenal’s London rivals Chelsea are also one of those teams to be put on alert re the availability of Rodriguez.
But Real manager Zidane has told Spanish paper AS that James is staying.
“James is here, I am happy with how he played and he will be staying here”, the former Real Madrid midfielder said.
“I will always respond in the same way to that. I’m tired of having to give a response. My stance is not going to change.”
