Only just yesterday Lyon’s owner Jean-Michel Aulas told the French media that Arsenal are yet to make an offer from Alexander Lacazette which is contrary to reports linking us with the signing of the France international striker. However, newer reports this morning are suggesting that Lyon are in fact already shopping for a replacement for Lacazette as they expect him to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window.
Racing club of Belgium striker Roger Martinez is the player said to be catching Lyon’s fancy as they bid to lessen the burden of losing Lacazette to Arsenal. Although knowing Aulas, he will not let Lacazette go without milking Arsenal almost dry, but it is good news for Arsenal fans that the French club are looking for another striker. It only means they already agree that Lacazette won’t be playing for them next season.
Lyon according to many reports are wanting as much as €45 million before they sell Lacazette, a fee Arsenal are not totally ready to pay but may be forced to pay if their attempt to sign another striker doesn’t pay off.
