An outcome to the saga looks imminent as talks continue between Mbappe’s representatives and the French champions.
Monaco president Dimitri Rybolovlev has met with Kylian Mbappe’s father to discuss the youngster’s future, according to reports from France.
French outlet Le 10 Sport claim Rybolovlev has intervened by speaking with the player’s father as the club look to keep hold of their prize asset.
The 18-year-old, who is currently with the club in Switzerland on their pre-season tour, has been linked with a move to one of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all summer.
PSG are trying to bring Mbappe to the Parc des Princes and their chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi reportedly met with Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev on Thursday over a potential deal for the forward and Fabinho.
However, it is believed the meeting was to iron out things amid recent tension between the clubs, although football discussions centred around Fabinho as he wants to move to the French capital.
With PSG, as well as the Gunners and Real, keen to sign Mbappe, Rybolovlev met with Mbappe’s father to try and convince the player to remain with the Ligue 1 champions.
With question marks over whether or not Mbappe has made his choice about where he will be playing football next season, Rybolovlev is keen to talk about extending his contract at Monaco if he has not already made his mind up.
