All the Premier League heavyweights still have unfinished businesses in the transfer window, with less than a week left.
Arsenal long and winding search for a top quality defender continues, while Manchester United are likely to send more players out, either on loan or permanently. Manchester City are also looking to wrap up the signing of a goalkeeper this week, with Joe Hart’s future in doubt. Chelsea, too, are looking to bring in bodies, especially at the back.

Arsenal pinpointed the Valencia defender as their main target for the central defence this season and, the German’s transfer to Arsenal has arguably remained the longest-drawn saga of the summer. While Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claimed, after the Leicester game, he was hoping to sign Mustafi before the deadline, Valencia are still playing hard ball over the move. After their opening La Liga lost to Las Palmas last weekend, the Spanish side’s boss Paco Ayestaran said Mustafi will not leave, as he is a pivotal member of the team. However, that stance could change if Arsenal pay the €50m Valencia are demanding.
