Arsenal are interested in signing Nottingham Forest teenager Oliver Burke and the Gunners have been joined in the chase of the player by several Premier League sides, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspurs, as per The Daily Mail.
Burke is also said to have been courted by Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich, while Leicester City have also recently joined the hunt for the youngster.
The Nottingham midfielder is one of the brightest prospects in English football and, he has already been capped twice by his country, Scotland.
The Daily Mail say Bayern have been monitoring Burke for a while now and are now pondering a £10m offer for the 19-year old Scot. However, Burke’s acquaintances believe it will be best for the player to stay put at Forest for one more season and as such, only a reasonable offer could railroad Forest into parting ways with their prized asset.
Arséne Wenger claimed, after the victory against Watford yesterday, that Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez have joined the team, hence, Arsenal’s chances of signing Burke are zilch.
The Gunners already have an exciting prospect in Rob Holding and are not expected to bring in any new face before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.
