Reports indicate that English Premier League giants Arsenal have tabled a bid worth £43 million for Germany and Wolfsburg attacker Julian Draxler and the player could be on his way to the Emirates as early as tomorrow for medicals.
Arsenal has launched a staggering bid for 22-year old Julian Draxler, according to Toby Gannon of the Sun. The attacker has just returned back home from France after his nation got knocked out in the semi-finals by host France, and could now sort out his future in a couple of days.
Initially, it was thought that Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Manchester United in pole position to sign the Germany international attacker, but Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger has now stepped up his bid by submitting an initial offer for Draxler. The French tactician was reportedly interested in signing the Wolfsburg attacker last season as well, but the attacker decided to remain in Germany and signed for Wolfsburg.
The 22-year old can play on either flanks in the attacker, but prefers to play on the left-wing where he can cut-in and whip in the ball for the striker.
The attacker has an incredible dribbling ability that can put any top defender to shame, making him a perfect fit for Arsene Wenger tutored side.
Should Julian Draxler eventually sign for the Gunners, he would be a priceless addition to the squad that struggled to score goals in the majority of last season, despite having the ‘creator in chief’ Mesut Ozil creating chance after chance for the striker.
