Contrary to claims made by Arséne Wenger that Arsenal will not be welcoming any further arrivals after the confirmation of Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez’s transfers, the Gunners could well bring in a new face before the transfer window is slammed shut next Wednesday.
Miroslav Bicanic, agent of Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has confirmed Arsenal are interested in signing his client – who is facing competition for a starting spot under new manager Frank de Boer after the Netherlands legend signed Joao Mario brought for a reported €45m.
However, Arsenal could face competition from London rivals, Chelsea.
“It’s true. There are many options and we are talking about some big European clubs”, Bicanic told Index as quoted by Football Italia.
“I heard that Chelsea representatives are in Milan and that Arsenal are also prepared to sign him. Inter are pushing to sell to one of these two clubs who are prepared to pay a sum that satisfies all concerned.”
