According to reports from the Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, Arsenal have agreed to a deal with Everton which would see the Gunners complete the signing of Romelu Lukaku.
There were reports earlier this week that the north London club had met with the Belgian’s representatives. However, it seems the deal has taken a second step towards completion
According to the Italian journalist the player has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and what is left is for both Everton and Arsenal to reach a common ground.
Just last week, there was report that the Gunners close rival Chelsea were interested re-signing their former player. The Blues have however gone on to complete the signing of Lukaku’s Belgium teammate Michy Batshuayi.
With Chelsea no longer in signing the Belgian, Arsenal are now free to complete the signing of powerful striker. According to reports from Standard, Everton do not want to sell and have slapped a £75 million price tag on his head in a bid to scared would be suitors away.
Aside Lukaku Arsenal have also been linked with the signing of Olympic Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette who reportedly has a release clause of £34.5 million.
Who Wenger ends up signing we will never know but one is certain, signing a striker is a must for Arsenal this summer if they must do well in the league next season.
