Mesut Ozil has sent a message to Arsenal fans as he returned to the training ground today.
The 28-year-old has missed both the Gunners’ win over Crystal Palace on Sunday and the draw against Bournemouth on Tuesday through illness.
Though, Arsene Wenger confirmed today that the midfielder was to be assessed by Arsenal’s medical staff at Colney this morning ahead of the Gunners’ trip to Deepdale to face Preston North End this weekend

The boss doesn’t think that the German international will be ready to return to action in the FA Cup this weekend though.
Ozil himself seemed intent on reassuring Arsenal fans on Twitter this afternoon.
That is definitely the message Arsenal fans will have wanted to see – the German can’t come back soon enough!
The playmaker could be in line for a return when Arsenal travel to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City on January 14.
