After been rejected by Jamie Vardy, Arsenal are back in the market for a striker. And according to reports, Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger is still interested in signing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
Benzema has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the last three summers but the Arsenal manager has been unsuccessful in his attempts to sign the striker. With Wenger now seriously in the lookout for a striker, he is believed to be keeping tabs on the French striker again.
Arsene Wenger would be able to sign the French striker this summer should Real Madrid sign a striker according to El Confidential via the Daily Star.
Should Real Madrid eventually sign their targets, Aubameyang and Lewandowski and should, Wenger is expected to move for Karim Benzema.
The French striker has been an important part of Real Madrid squad in the last couple of seasons but the star striker would be open to the idea of selling him should they sign one of their target strikers, preferably Lewandowski.
The French international striker undoubtedly a world class striker which would definitely improve the Arsenal team, he has scored 111 league goals in 215 games for Real Madrid since moving to Real in 2009. However, Benzema is not without his disadvantages as he has been embroiled in several off-field controversies in recent years which cost him a place in the France national team.
