According to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, the Gunners have made contact with German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund about the possibility of signing Serbia defender Neven Subotic this summer.
Arsenal have been linked with lot of players in the summer transfer window as the Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger bids to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
Notwithstanding all of the speculation, the North London club have since only signed Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka from Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach.
The Gunners are thought to be searching for defensive reinforcements this summer and have been linked with a move to sign Napoli man Kalidou Koulibaly at the end of May.
Italian journalist Giulianelli has now claimed that Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing Serbia defender Subotic, 27, from Dortmund.
Giulianelli however, goes on to say that he does not expect the Emirate club to increase their efforts to make their second summer signing until after the conclusion of the on-going European championship in France.
The North London club finished second in the English Premier League last season, 10 points behind eventual champions Leicester City.
