Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has sustained an injury ahead of clash against Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday. Jurgen expressed doubt about the player if he would be fit in time for the match.
Henderson got knocked off during the training session before the game against Leicester City and did not appear in his side 3-1 defeat at King Power Stadium
Klopp said in his post-match press conference,
“It looks like he will not be ready for Arsenal. That’s how it looks but I’m not sure, we will see.”
The Reds were humiliated by Leicester, with Jamie Vardy scoring a brace and Danny Drinkwater scoring a galazo from distance.
Since the bad experience, the have left England for Spain for ‘warm weather’ training. They appeared to be in high spirit before the clash at King Power Stadium but their performance was unsatisfactory.
The match against Arsenal has to end in Liverpool’s favor if they hope for a top four finish.
Klopp will be hoping that Jordan Henderson recovers in time for the crunch clash but it looks difficult.
The Reds captain records the highest number of passes in the league and tops the chart with 2057 passes. Not even world-record signing Paul Pogba has managed to surpass his record and thus stressing Henderson’s importance to Liverpool’s performance on the pitch.
The next injury update from Klopp about Henderson will determine their success.
