Exciting chants from the Gunners’ camp couldn’t be any louder, first following the arrival of Spanish coach Unai Emery to manage affairs at the club for the long haul and the cloud of good luck hovering above the Emirates since his arrival.
Unai Emery has managed to bring big defensive names to the club and not just any big names, but players who are deemed competent to fill in such holes in the heart of Arsenal’s back line.
They have managed to secure the formidable services of former Juventus man Stephan Lichtsteiner and also Dortmund man Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
It is understood that the Gunners came short at the chance of competing for any silverware last season due to frailties in their defence, despite the strength of their attack.
However, following the appointment of Unai Emery as Arsene Wenger’s successor last month, the Gunners may yet be on their path to Premier League glory once again.
They have reportedly secured the services of youngsters Yacine Adli, 17, and Barcelona’s wonderkid Joel Lopez.
Currently, the young duo are the two of the hottest prospects in Europe.
With an excellent attacking ability in the midfield, Adli will fit perfectly at the Emirates and Lopez, a right-back will definitely not be written off that easily as he could learn a lot from the experienced Nacho Monreal.
