Deal Close – Three Medicals Likely To Take Place At Arsenal This Week

Judging by various in the media in the last few weeks, Arsenal are still very much active in the transfer market. The Gunners are said to be interested in signing at last one centre back, a striker and maybe a winger. We have been linked with different players. Some deals judging by reports seem very close to completion. Below is the three days we believe Arsenal are very LIKELY to complete in the next one week.

Rob Holding – The highly rated centre back has been linked with moves to Tottenham and Everton but according to reports, Arsenal have had a bid accepted by Bolton for the player and the player will this week be flying into London to undergo his medical. It appears Wenger sees Holding as the long term replacement for Per Mertesacker while Chambers who is said to be on his way out of the club on loan is seen as a long term replacement for Koscielny.

Morata – Alvaro Morata has constantly been linked with moves to Arsenal. It is believed that Real Madrid are looking to sell him on for profit having brought him back from Juventus after exercising their buy back right on him. He has been linked with PSG, Chelsea and Liverpool but it appears Arsenal are the clear favorites for his signature. Reports claim Wenger is ready to offer Real Madrid as much as £45 million to get the deal done but Madrid want £57 million. The 11 times Champions League winners could however be forced to lower their demands especially as Chelsea and PSG are no longer interested and Liverpool is not an option for the player. We believe there is a strong chance that a deal will be done this week.

Ricardo Rodriguez – Many thought this deal would have been completed by now but in typical Arsenal version, it is still not completed. But reports this week claim Arsenal have made official contact with the player’s club wolfsburg and will hope to get a deal done before this week ends. The player is said to have agreed personal terms with Arsenal and all that’s left before he flies in for medical is for the two clubs involved to agree a transfer fee.
