Trusted Spanish media outlet, Marca, have Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez on the front cover of their broadsheet today – saying he is up for sale…and this has come as absolutely no surprise.
The reasons are really obvious for all to see. While it could be said that James’ first season with Real was quite good, same can not be said ever since then as his performances have dwindled and the Colombian appears more like a bit-part player for last season’s Champions League winners.
The 25-year old’s displays have dipped and his attitude is also a cause for concern. Marca claim James has done pretty well during pre-season, but he has not really done so much to boost his Real Madrid career. Boss Zinedine Zidane would have expected James to go all out to impress him in order to secure a place in Los Blancos’ starting eleven, and it is now no longer a situation of whether the former Monaco man will start games but if he will get good amount of games. Things have gone that bad for James, Marca claim.
Now a host of Premier League top sides are interested in James’ signature and Arsenal is one of them. The North Londoners are one of those who can afford him and are now keen to know about his situation at Real.
Meanwhile, Marca report that Real want the €75/£65m they paid for James back if they are to part ways with the Colombian international.
