Arsenal have reportedly begun negotiating with Borussia Dortmund over Marco Reus.
The Gunners have lined up the Germany international forward as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez in case he fails to sign a new contract and leaves.
According to WhoScored.com, Arsene Wenger is prepared to spend £51million to land Reus, who has two-and-a-half years left to run at Dortmund.
The 27-year-old’s proposed deal at the Emirates would be worth £6.8m annually on a five-year contract.
With Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester City interested in Sanchez, Arsenal are looking to test Dortmund’s resolve, although no move is likely until the summer.
